JV SOFTBALL FINISHES SEASON ON A HS NOTE

The Lancer JV Softball Team finished the 2015 season on a high note with a hard-fought win over The Jeb Stuart Raiders.  After falling behind 5 - 0, the Lancers fought their way back with three runs in the second inning on the alert base running of Trinh Ton, Kathleen Christon, and Madison Blum, who all reached base on walks.  Stuart increased their lead in the top of the third, scoring six runs,  but the Lancers fought hard to score 9 runs in the bottom of the inning when Jog Jongwe reached first after a perfectly executed bases loaded bunt.  A double by Madison Blum drove in two more runs before the inning and the game ended with the Lancers victorious 12 - 11.  The coaches were proud of their team's resiliency in the way that they fought back to end the season with a great win.
